This index lists 52 historic buildings and sites that are described in articles on History of Toronto. Filter by district or by the century of construction, or search by name or architect, and open the article for details and sources.
How to read the table
The year is the year or range of construction that the article gives. The architect is shown only when the article names one. The status column reports the heritage designation that the article states: a National Historic Site of Canada, a designation under the Ontario Heritage Act, or a listing on the City of Toronto Heritage Register. An empty cell means the article does not state it, not that the building has no status. Check the City’s heritage register for the current position.
Longer lists
Older listings with photographs are in the historic buildings section and the historic churches section. How buildings are protected is explained in the article on the heritage register.
